Missouri expanding financial education in schools

More schools and state’s are taking the initiative in offering or requiring financial education courses for their students. At Cape Girardeau High School in Missouri, one teacher has been requiring her students to learn about a budget, credit card interest rates and more. You can read the great story in the Southeast Missourian. Even still, more needs to be done to bring financial education into students’ curriculum at an earlier age. Starting them as seniors or in college is too late. It’sĀ imperativeĀ that you write your state representatives and let them know that financial education for our children is an issue important to you. With all of your support, we can bring financial literacy to the nation’s school.
