Sharon speaks to Homeschool.com Radio about YOUTHpreneur and financial education

Yesterday, Sharon spoke to a large audience of homeschooling parents with Homeschool.com editor Rebecca Kochenderfer. The hour long interview aired on Homeschool.com’s BlogTalkRadio. In it, Sharon and Rebecca discussed the YOUTHpreneur movement and many of the cool items parents and teens can utilize to help foster the entrepreneurial spirit. Sharon Two weeks ago I had a mom call me and it was just such validation that [the UPside] card really does work. She says, “Sharon, my son always talks me into these $200 basketball shoes. We were shopping two weeks ago and he needed new shoes. I said ‘you’ve got your card, you’ve got your own money, you go ahead and buy them.'” She said to me, “you will never believe it. He bought $60 tennis shoes and was happy and proud of himself. That would never have happened if it had been my credit card.” She said not only did he choose value over brand, his self esteem was sky high because he had the ability to make that choice.
