New Jersey approves financial education pilot program

More states are taking financial literacy into their own hands while waiting for national legislation to mandate financial education. In New Jersey, a three-year pilot program was approved this week by the state Senate that will give high school students in selected districts some financial literacy. At the end of the pilot the Department of Education will be required to submit a report to the Governor. If the results are favorable, it could be the start of a state wide program. The continuing economic slump has really shown the true value of financial education. With your support we can see financial education for every K-12 student in America.
