TopLine helps kids learn financial education lessons

Financial literacy is so important, which is why I have committed my life and work to it.  Education goes hand-in-hand with becoming financially literate and, from time-to-time, I like to highlight groups or states that are doing their part in educating the public about finances. There is a free series of financial literacy sessions given by a credit union in Minnesota named TopLine that just won the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award for their “Get Smart With Your Money™” series. This series offers three classes for three different age groups of kids, starting with ages 5-8, 9-13 and 14-18. The sessions cover learning the difference between wants and needs, budgets, financial goals, the importance of building and using credit wisely and investing. Congrats to TopLine for being proactive with our youth. How can you be proactive in your community to promote financial literacy?
